FYI:  All training for the weekend Jan. 3 and 4 has been cancelled.  The latest weather is showing temperatures that are too cold.  STORM page has been updated.

Training is scheduled for this weekend:

North Central and South Divisions are scheduled at 8:30.  North Division is set for 7:30.

Training sites are:

North Divison – Sandstone Athletic Fields

North Central – Westminster City Park

If you are working in the North Division, please contact Lori Kilgore and let her know if you will be there or not.  North Central and South Divisions – please let me know if you cannot train this weekend.  Thanks!

North Division will meet at 7:00 AM at Sandstone Athletic Field in Longmont.

North Central should chose a location (please vote) so that the North weekly handlers can lay a 2-3 day old track with contamination.

Ok, we are back on for training now that the heat has settled. From Pat:

All Divisions will be training this weekend – all start times are 8:30.

North: Best Buy Trail

North Central: Interlocken’s West Park with track layer contamination 3 days old plus 2 track layers with unknown direction. Will have to sort the ingress vehicle track. Scent articles will be by vehicles.

Beginning July 13th, the South Division will be going to every other weekend training.

Beginning July 12th, the North Divisions should also start this schedule.

We tried this last year, and it worked fairly well. For the dogs, they are not affected by missing a week. It will keep us all on the same page for the new advanced training that is being introduced to them. However, if you live close to another handler(s), contact them if you would like to work on something specific or just to get your dog out for some focus or need some specific help.

This schedule will be for the months of July and August. We’ll evaluate the situation in September – who knows, fuel may be going down???????
